Mylanian Respect System

R-E-S-P-E-C-T, this seven letter word is by far one of the most important terms in Mylania history and should be considered before EVERY post. Now, I'm not referring to the "Don't talk about my mama" respect, I'm referring to the "Respect your fellow shinobi's powers" respect.

In order for fights to go smoothly and obtain maximum enjoyment, one has to respect the others moves,speed, strength, and powers and vise versa. This by no means, obligates you to as they say "Fall on your opponents sword". Respecting your opponents capabilities is done in the way you rp, Just because you think you are the best, doesn't mean there isn't someone better. I will give an example of it being done wrong.


Example one: Shinobi one is a jounin ranked ninja, who specializes in Fire based moves, he has slightly above average speed and average everything else. Shinobi two is a sannin level character who also specializes in fire based moves and has superior stats to the jounin.

Shinobi one release some variation of a fire based move, that he has work and train for, its power is considerable and moving at a decent speed, everything you'd expect from a jounin.

Shinobi two counters his move and post something like this "Since, I shinobi two rank exceeds my opponent and my powers are superior to his, I trump his move and baby him accordingly. <<<<<<This is the mind set that causes conflict, because shinobi two "Felt" like he was stronger, he decided to disrespect his opponents, jutsu and effort. Now shinobi one is left with a terribly difficult decision, one we all often choose the wrong answer for. He must decide whether or not to seek the assistance of an admin or deal with the problem himself by posting an equally disrespectful reply

More times then not, we feel feel entitled, no obligated to deal with this problem ourselves. whether it be pride, or not wanting to cause problems or simply because the admin or too damn busy. However the correct course of action is simple. pm the person and talk peacefully, if that doesn't work contact an admin and post in the forum issues.

Also respecting your opponent doesn't mean you have to break character. Snow is a very angry, arrogant and agressive fighter. He down talks his opponent and ignores any potential power they may have BUT he never disrespects the power in his post. There are many characters whose attitudes may lead you to believe they are disrespecting your post but ask before assuming this.
