Born and raised within the fallen Nemesis City, Izanami was present for many of the trials and tribulations the village had seen from many sources. The constant turmoil and trouble that rang throughout Iris was like a constant reminder that this world was not safe. Izanami's parents, having been two Chunin level warriors, had both been injured in one of the latest skirmishes. Both had to retire, unfortunately, leaving Izanami distraught.
They had trained Izanami the best they could, hoping to prepare her for serving Nemesis City as well, but as they were both merely Chunin level, neither could truly show Izanami the path she needed to walk as they never truly found their own to begin with.
Izanami was proud of her parents non-the less, and grateful to them for what little they did teach her. Her dream had been to protect Nemesis alongside her parents, but that didn't happen. After Izanami's 7th birthday, Nemesis was destroyed completely. However, Izanami herself doesn't recall how it happened, when it truly happened or why. When she awoke in the ruins, she was already 10 years old, yet the city had seemed to decayed beyond hundreds of years.
For the next 7 years, Izanami lived within the ruins of Nemesis City, training herself and gaining information from travelers that passed through the city. She had never been away from Nemesis, afraid of what she'd find while also afraid that if she left, she would not find out what truly happened to the city. However, after learning of the now benevolent Queen and King of Esperanza, and knowing that the world is still plagued by wars and death, Izanami wants to set out to put an end to all of the struggles. Though she doesn't know how she's going to do that, she wants to at least try. And along the way she hopes to find out what truly happened to Nemesis City.
