A new player arrives

Devis walks in front of the hotel and thinks to himself that the countryside and cities are worlds apart. Gathering in the sights and sounds once more before getting onto business he takes a deep breath. He then takes the note in his pocket out of his pocket and checks the name of the address he's headed to then looks around. Yep, right address he thinks. So he looks again to see the name of the building he's headed to. Yep, this is his destination. He continues moving forward towards the hotel putting the note back in his pocket. As he gets to the doors he begins looking around inside until he notices a woman which seems to have peoples respect. Upon noticing her he heads towards her and once in earshot he says aloud to her "Hello. I was wondering if I could ask you some questions?".

Alma Marta had been at the reception desk as usual. She looked exhausted from her work, but that didn't muddy the image of the strong and respectable mother, who took care of anyone who wandered into the Wayward Hotel. Alma, this time around, carried a bundle wrapped in a brown blanket. The mother long ago felt the presence of Devis, even before he entered the hotel, but had to make sure that her baby was sound asleep.

Devis had some questions to be answered and Alma hopefully had the answers. She shifted her gaze towards the young man and shot him a warm smile. While she focused on the man, she gently rocked her little bundle back and forth.

"And we'll see if I have answers. Ask away, young man." She said and laughed softly.

Upon notice of the bundle and response to his question he responded in a hushed voice and a bow " Thank you. I was wondering if you might know where I could go to ask about setting up an expedition towards some mountains? I am hoping to start a mercenary guild and I believe a cave or caves in a mountainside ad well as the mountain itself would be a good location to start it at. I would even be willing to check out unexplored places. Though I do know I would have to check with some higher power on this. I am unsure of where and who that would be. Do you know?"

Alma would have bowed her head back in respect and as a form of gratitude for the man taking the hint. When it came down to the questions, Alma listened intently, never taking her eyes away from the man. She mulled over several answers and options that she could give to the young man.

"For setting up the expedition, I don't believe there are any official missions that involve gathering the villages genin or chunin for such a task. On your own, however, you could scope out the local taverns and other shinobi, or magician gathering spots, and ask for any of the brave few to go out on the journey with you. Should you find any clear caves, they're yours for the taking." She took a pause, so that Devis could take in that bit of information, before she continued. "Now as for taking to a higher power, that depends on the legitimacy of your mercenary group. Most aren't necessarily aligned with either of the villages and work within the continent of Mylania as just weapons for hire. Once you establish your group, it's yours, so you necessarily don't need to answer to anyone. The highest authority would be the King and Queen of Esperanza, however, and if you wanted your mercenary group to have a more solid and established name, you'd need to talk to them about making it official. Other than that, the expedition, claim to territory, and of course the members are all up to you." Alma was nearly done, but still had a bit of a warning for the young man. "Of course, with that said, any trouble your group gets into the responsibility and consequences all fall upon you." She finally finished and gave the man another smile.

Her baby had finally started sleeping peacefully. She pushed back on the chair a bit, pulled out a large hammer, then had it transform into a baby carriage. Alma placed her child inside and made sure that the carriage was within multiple arms reach.

"Any further questions, young genin?" Alma asked and she folded her arms above her lap.

After having taken in all the information and giving it a moment to think about. He responds with a smile and in a still hushed tone " Only if there is someway I can repay you for your help. Be it big or small I would very much like to know if there is anything I can do to repay your kindness in turn. No matter it may have seemed it was a great deal of help that allows me to continue forward. So is there anything I can do?"

Alma laughed softly at Devis's offer to repaying her kindness and gently shook her head.

"You don't need to do anything for me, except staying out of trouble, and doing the most to realize your potential in this world. Do that and you would have repaid me in full." Alma stated, with the smile on her face growing even more motherly and warm. "Another thing, if you ever find yourself down on your luck, come back here. The rooms are free and you can stay here at any time." She explained and waited to see him off, now that he had a plan in mind.

"Well are right then. I'll be sure to take you up on your offer if I am ever in need. Have a great day and I hope we meet again with me being in dire straights" He replied, before bowing then waving goodbye as he headed out. Thinking to himself that his journey that lies ahead of him already seems to be a pleasant one. Then he continues on to the first tavern he heard about on his way to the hotel. To the tavern of hope I go he thinks to himself. I wonder who I'll meet there he wonders drifting into thought along his way.

Alma would nod and waved off Devis as he exited the hotel. The mother took a sigh of relief as she felt the determination within the boy who came and went. The future would be secured with more and more people like him coming about. After the young man left, Alma took another look at her sleeping child. Even she felt that her child would become a person of great worth one day. She knew this because after all, she was a mother.
