Our Empire Starts Here

-Marcelle had flown into Esperanza City and in the vicinity of the Conquest Hall, thanks to the aid of her older brother, Gintama. Marcy nuzzled her brother closely and clung to him as they arrived in the area and smiled. The word around Esperanza City and the Mylania Continent in general, was that there was a mission hall that handed out missions of all rewards and difficulties, to those who wished to partake in them. This would be a perfect way for the two to gain some sort of sustainability, while they plan their next move.-

"Big brother, is that the mission hall over there?"

-She pointed out when they had arrived.-

Gintama slowed his pace, kicking up a powerful backdraft as he did. He set Marcy down and took in their surroundings. Esperanza was a beautiful city and he could feel a very deep calm there. It was the most welcoming place he had ever been in his life. He took in the building that Marcy was talking about and caught site of a hunt board outside of it. Surely it had to be the Conquest Hall.

"I suppose it is. Shall we?" He held his arm out for Marcy to take. Once or if she did, he would escort her into the building.

"Oh my, such a gentleman"

-She said teasingly and took the arm of her brother. She cuddled it close and would walk with him into the mission hall.

For the most part, it was a barren looking building, with only a few bulletin boards. Besides the bulletin boards, there was also a strange, floating orb of light, that sat directly in front of them. Marcelle tilted her head as she looked at the setting of the room and felt it lackluster.-

"Are we in the right place..."

-She asked, but right at that moment, her question would be answered.-

"Welcome to the Conquest Hall. Entering ranks... Genin. D-Rank and C-Rank missions available."

-The ball of light vibrated and seemed to have an awkward sense of motion, each time it made a statement. It had the soft voice, of a tired sounding man. The bulletin boards had also lit up and revealed different missions of two different ranks, available to the two in the room.-

Gintama was surprised to see the hall so sparse, and with no one else inside as well. The glowing ball of light surprised him even more, especially when it talked. He didn't they had such magic in this realm. For a split moment he wondered if he were underestimating humans. He would look to the missions that were available and ponder over some of them. Some of the C-ranks weren't available to only two genin so instead he looked to the D-ranks. However, remembering what he had been doing up until then, he smirked and looked to Marcy.

"So what do you want to do?"

-Marcelle gazed upon the many D-Ranked missions available to them and had hoped that Gintama wouldn't call her a baby, for going over the easier missions. While she scrolled down the list, Marcy found many interesting missions that she would have loved to go on with Gin, however, there was one mission that stood out the most.-

"Oh! Big brother, this mission right here!"

-She bounced a bit in excitement and pointed to the mission that read: "Rare Findings." The mission details stated that they were going to help in expanding the library's archive. Marcelle really adored libraries and being able to aid in one's research, would be fantastic for her. She even wondered what sort of books the main library in Esperanza City could have to further her lustful research on... Mature topics.-

Gintama looked at the mission she had chosen. He admitted, he had wanted to do that specific mission too.

"We have to bring an ancient text from the librarium to the castle? Sounds simple enough. They honestly pay people for this?" He questioned the ball.

"Any help towards the greater good of the city, is greatly appreciated. On top of that, most missions are usually tedious, or troublesome enough, that adequate compensation must be handed out."

-The ball explained and vibrated as it did so.-

"I guess no matter how simple the mission is, it'll always have some sort of quirk that could escalate it to something much more."

-Marcelle guessed and turned to the exit of the Conquest Hall.-

"Let's get going, big brother. I want to hurry up and see this library as soon as possible!"

-She started to tug and pull her brother along with her. Marcy headed to the door and each step she took had a bit of a bounce in it.-
